Futuremark announces it will soon release 3DMark Sky Diver, a free update for those who purchased the latest 3DMark benchmark.
Those who purchased the latest 3DMark see their value for money go up once more as Futuremark announced a new benchmark for the 3DMark software. The new benchmark is called Sky Diver and features (evidently) a Sky Driver with wing suit flying through a rock formation. The test is aimed at gaming notebooks and mid-range PCs, making it less intensive than Fire Strike or Fire Strike Extreme. The benchmark uses feature level 11 of DirectX, so it is targeted at more platforms who can run Cloud Gate easily.
