Intel going back to old VRM design with Skylake

The Chinese language edition of VR Zone delivers exclusive news that Intel will be dumping FIVR (Full Integrated Voltage Regulator) in 2015 as it introduces its Skylake platform. The integrated voltage regulator was introduced with the Haswell platform but it appears Intel is going back to the traditional VRM design. The exact reason is unknown but it's believed to be for reasons of cost and efficiency.
