DigiTimes writes ASRock is in heavy competition with MSI to maintain its ranking as the third biggest motherboard maker in the world. The site also mentions that ASRock's motherboard output of 8-series motherboards was significantly decreased in recent weeks due to anti-Chinese protests in Vietnam that forced ASRock to temporarily stop production at a factory there.
ASRock shipped 7.6 million own-brand motherboards in 2013, the sources noted. ASRock temporarily stopped production at its factory in Vietnam in mid-May due to anti-Chinese protests there, the sources indicated. The stoppage has significantly decreased ASRock's production of Intel 8-series motherboards and the impact is expected to last until mid-June, the sources said.
