German tech site PC Games Hardware writes Intel will be shipping a better cooler with its upcoming Haswell-E processors.

The new cooler's product name is TS13A, it's capable of dissipating up to 140W of heat and features several improvements versus the current RTS2011AC cooler. The first thing you'll notice is that the new model is a bit taller, it's 75mm tall versus the 63mm of the RTS2011AC.

Another change is that the TS13A features a larger, copper heat column with integrated heatpipe, whereas the RTS2011AC used a copper core. On top of this, the aluminium fins are now curved to further increase the heat dissipation surface area.

The TS13A will start shipping towards the end of the month, it will be used for Haswell-E (slated for mid-September) as well as the current Ivy Bridge-E LGA2011 chips.
