VideoCardz got its hands on photos of NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 980! This upcoming card adopts a similar design as the GeForce GTX 780 Ti and even has the same cooling solution that was first introduced by Titan. This cooler is designed to handle a heat load of up to 250W so it should have plenty of overclocking headroom considering the GTX 980 has a TDP of just 180W thanks to significant gains in energy efficiency.

The GTX 980 has two 6-pin power connectors and will have five display outputs: DVI, HDMI and three DisplayPorts. The GTX 980 has 5-phase VRM, one phase less than the 780 Ti, but the VRM has reportedly been greatly improved. Additionally, the GeForce GTX 980 also adopts Titan Z's backplate.
