Dell to offer 4K IPS LCD screen for just $600

Posted on Wednesday, November 19 2014 @ 18:30:12 CET by

Dell introduced two relatively affordable 4K screens with an IPS-based LCD display. The 23.8" P2415Q is listed for $599.99 whil the 27" P2715Q costs $699.99. Except the difference in screen size, both displays are fairly identical, they have 1.07 billion color support, with 99% sRGB coverage and a delta-E of less than three.

Both models support a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels at 60Hz and have 178-degree viewing angles, 6ms "fast" response times, and 1000:1 contrast ratio. The 23.8" model has 300 nits brightnes and 8ms "typical" response time, while the 27" edition has 350 nits brightness and a typical response time of 9ms.
The stands are adjustable every which way, and they can be swapped for VESA-compatible mounts. Connectivity includes a four-to-one USB 3.0 hub, an MHL-compatible HDMI port, a DisplayPort input, and a DP output that supports daisy-chaining a second screen.
