One of the interesting new motherboards MSI had up on display at CES was the Z97A Gaming 6, which will be world's first motherboard to feature USB 3.1 and the new C-type USB connector.

In case you missed last year's news updates about this new USB connector, it's a new compact USB connector with a reversible design, meaning it doesn't matter which end you plug into your devices. This will solve the age-old problem of USB port having three sides.
The Z97A Gaming 6 is more or less the MSI Z97 Gaming 5 with USB 3.1 and the new C-Type connector. It will feature an 8-phase VRM, 3 PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots, 4 PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots, Killer Ethernet LAN port, M.2, SATA Express and more. Being part of the gaming series it has the black and red gaming styling we are using to seeing from MSI.
The MSI Z97A Gaming 6 should be available in the near future for around $160. MSI also demonstrated the performance of USB 3.1, showing you can get a performance boost of about 250MB/s when transferring data.
