Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 R5 Socket AM3+ about to hit retail shelves

Gigabyte announces its 990XA-UD3 R5, a new ATX motherboard for AMD's Socket AM3+ platform (except the FX-9000 series). The board is based on the AMD 990X chipset with an AMD SB950 southbridge, it features 8+2 phase VRM, four DDR3 memory slots, one PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (which drops to x8 if the other one is used), one PCI Express x16 slot running at x8, one PCI Express x16 slot running at x4, two PCI Express x1 slots and two legacy PCI slots.

The board offers six SATA 6Gbps connectors 14 USB 2.0 ports (8 on the back panel, 6 ports internal), four USB 3.0 ports (two external, two internal headers) and Realtek ALC1150 115dB SNR HD audio with built-in rear audio amplifier.

Pricing is expected to be around $130.
