Gabriel Aul, General Manager of Microsoft's Operating Systems Group (OSG) Data and Fundamentals team, announced on Twitter that Windows Media Center has been discontinued and will not be part of Windows 10.

Aul explains the software giant decided to cut this feature due to the decreased use of Windows Media Center. Instead, Microsoft will release an update to add DVD playback support sometime later this year.
