DDR3 chip pricing hits 26-months low

DigiTimes writes pricing of DDR3 memory chips is dropping hard. Spot prices for 4Gb DDR3 memory chips have fallen about 9 percent to $2.92 in the second quarter of 2015, the lowest price level in about 26 months.
Spot prices for 4Gb DDR3 have gone down to US$2.92, the lowest in about 26 months, the report cited DRAMeXchange as saying.

With new iPhones set to enter production, DRAM prices are expected to improve starting the third quarter, the report said.
