Zynga's NaturalMotion division is working on CSR2, the sequel to the company's highly popular mobile racing game. With over 130 million downloads over the past three years, CSR Racing has been a big success for the Farmville creator and now the firm wants to deliver a massive jump up in quality with CSR2. Full details at VentureBeat CSR2 will be soft-launched on iOS and Android in the coming weeks.
Torsten Reil, head of NaturalMotion — which Zynga bought for $527 million — said in an interview with GamesBeat at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event that the aim is to make the free-to-play title as authentic as possible.
“We wanted to go far down the road of believability and authenticity,” Reil said. “It’s a massive jump up in quality.”
