Cherry goes silent with the introduction of new Cherry MX Silent mechanical key switches with noise dampening technology. This patented technology reduces the audible stops at the top and bottom of the mechanical switch to a minimum and can be used in the firm's MX-RGB switch line.

The Silent version will be offered in MX Red and MX Black editions, with actuation force of 45g (Red) or 60g (Black). The launch partner for the new Cherry MX Silent switches is Corsair, they have the exclusive for six months and have revealed keyboards based on this technology at Gamescom. More about that in our next news story.
