Japanese tech publication Akiba shot photos of Intel's new TS15A processor cooler. As you may know, the new Skylake K-series ships without a boxed cooler because these processors are intended for enthusiasts, who are more likely than not going to buy a different after-market cooler or already own a decent processor cooler.

For the few people who still want to use an Intel cooler, the chip giant is shipping the TS15A, a top-down cooler specifically marketed for the LGA1151 socket. The cooler is significantly larger than Intel's typical boxed coolers and is larger than the TS13A cooler for the Socket 2011-3.

The TS15A HSF has a copper-base with a pre-applied thermal pad, a radial aluminium heatsink and a small PWM fan. It's unknown if the TS15A will be widely available, it hit some Japanese retail stores for around 5162 yen, which corresponds to around 37EUR ($41). For that price it doesn't seem to be particularly interesting.
