Crytek and Oculus tease The Climb (video)

Crytek shows off a demo of The Climb, a new game develope for Oculus' Rift VR headset. As the name suggests, The Climb focuses on exploring dangerous heights. While it looks pretty impressive, if you neglect some of the fairly low quality textures, it does look more like a tech demo than an actual game. It may work to get people interested in the platform, but for VR to be a long-term success we're going to be need more than this.

The Climb brings alive the excitement and thrill of rock climbing in incredible virtual reality. Players will scale new heights and explore stunning environments in a new gaming experience developed excclusively for VR, using the power of CRYENGINE™.
