Nintendo DS to become $20 cheaper

Posted on Monday, August 15 2005 @ 15:05:26 CEST by

The Inquirer says Nintendo will drop the price of its Nintendo DS handheld console with $20 on August 21st.
The handheld consoles market is becoming increasingly dog-eat-dog and whilst the consoles have been fuelling up to 22% of the games industry this year we have already seen products forced headlong out of the market, so Nintendo may be wise to give a price drop that could boost sales considering the DS has been on shelves for so long now at full price
