VideoCardz came across what appears to be the first photo of the NVIDIA GP104 "Pascal" GPU. The chip markings were blurred but the interesting thing is that we can see that this SKU uses Samsung K4G80325FB-HC25 8Gbps GDDR5 memory, which were not used for any graphics card before. This memory is denser and faster than the GDDR5 used in previous cards, it has a capacity of 8Gb (1GB) per chip and allows for frequencies of up to 8000MHz.

Based on the size of the memory chip, the GP104 die measures around 15.35mm x 19.18mm, resulting in a die area size of around 290-300mm². The leaker estimates the chip has around 7.4 to 7.9 billion transistor. If the GP104 has the same density of FP32 CUDA cores as the Big Pascal chips, the GP104 could feature 2560 CUDA cores in total.
