HWBattle claims NVIDIA has stopped production of certain Maxwell-based GPUs. This includes most of the company's high-end lineup, the GPU designer reportedly ceased production of the GM204-based GeForce GTX 980 and GTX 970, as well as the GM200-based Georce GTX 980 Ti.
The plan seems to be to let the market digest the existing inventory of these three cards to prepare for the launch of the upcoming Pascal-based video cards. According to the latest rumors, NVIDIA plans to launch at least three GP104-based video cards around June 2016.
