NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1080 card hit the retail market on Friday but product availability turned out to be very low. FUD Zilla investigated the issue and heard supply isn't expected to pick up for at least another two and a half weeks.
Basically, if you’re looking for a Geforce GTX 1080 Founders Edition at the $699 MSRP and not a penny more before tax, there should be at least another full five-day week after the launch of the Geforce GTX 1070 (June 10th) before the next batch is due for delivery in retail stores. Fry’s Electronics currently has Geforce GTX 1080 Founders Edition cards from ASUS, PNY, Gigabyte and EVGA all listed as placeholders at the $699.99 MSRP.
