Details leak about new AMD WattMan overclocking tool

Posted on Tuesday, June 28 2016 @ 14:48:31 CEST by

Slides of AMD's Radeon WattMan overclocking app have been leaked, this tool will replace the AMD OverDrive utility and offers users greater control over their hardware in terms of thermals, voltages and clock speeds. You can check out all the details at OVerclock3D.
In these leaked AMD/Sapphire slides, AMD states that they will be offering more day 1 driver support for upcoming games, giving AMD gamers the assurance that their GPUs will provide great gaming performance on even the newest applications.

Ever since AMD introduced their new Radeon Software Crimson Drivers in late 2015 the day 1 support for new PC games has greatly increased, greatly improving the customer perception of AMD's GPU products as a whole. Hopefully, AMD can continue to improve their GPU drivers and offer greater support for modern applications.

Earlier leaks revealed the Radeon RX 480 has 8 different clock states. More information will be available tomorrow.
