An interesting rumor popped up in South Korean newspaper Chosun Biz. Word on the street is that Samsung won a contract to make 14nm GPUs for NVIDIA.

As you may know, the current Pascal generation is made using the 16nm FinFET process from long-term NVIDIA partner TSMC, but this report suggests Samsung will be manufacturing next-generation GPUs using its 14nm process. These chips are reportedly based on Pascal and should enter production before year-end.
The paper said Samsung would start making the next-generation GPUs using its 14-nanometre production technology before year-end, based on the U.S. company's Pascal architecture. It did not specify the value of the order.
There are precious little details so we don't know whether this is some kind of Pascal refresh, or perhaps something non-gaming related like chips for the DRIVE PX 2, although the latter started shipping this quarter so it doesn't really fit in the timeframe.
