Biostar adds the Racing P1 Mini PC to its lineup

With motherboard sales dropping and competition with the top brands heating up, lots of the smaller motherboard makers are seeking new sources of revenue. Biostar tries its its hand at Mini PCs with the launch of the Racing P1, a 0.29l system with the fanless Intel Atom Z8350 quad-core processor.

The device measures just 129mm x 83mm x 27mm and comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 802.11ac WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0, one USB 3.0 port, five USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output, Gigabit LAN ethernet, microSDXC memory card reader and support for a VESA mount.

The BIOSTAR RACING P1 mini-PC features an Intel Z8350 quad-core processor with clock-speeds up to 1.92G with a maximum TDP of only 2W allowing the BIOSTAR RACING P1 operate completely fanless hence completely silent operation.

The RACING P1 is the definition of style in the RACING series family, decked out in carbon-fibre styling and featuring sports car curves, it doesn’t follow the boring box designs that traditional mini-PCs employ. Complimenting this is the impressive adoption of the VIVID LED DJ directly into the RACING P1 and to add more style, BIOSTAR has enabled the use of the 5050 LED strips for use with the RACING P1 directly via the onboard front header. Control how your LED strip and RACING P1 LEDs function with full control via the VIVID LED DJ software.

The BIOSTAR RACING P1 is highly portable and compatible with standard VESA mounts allowing it to be mounted on compatible monitors and displays for a complete, all-in-one solution with minimal clutter saving you desk space and less wiring to bother with.

Full 64GB of internal storage allows adequate space for operating system files and documents and 6-USB slots plus a microSD card reader allows complete expandability for storage.
