Samsung taking down GTA5 videos with exploding Galaxy Note 7

Posted on Thursday, October 20 2016 @ 13:54:33 CEST by

In the midst of Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, GTA V moddders pulled a prank by turning the in-game grenades into Note 7 phones. The Internet got flooded with videos of exploding Note 7 devices in GTA V but it seems Samsung is far from amused. eTeknix reports Samsung is sending out DMCA takedown notices to get rid of these videos.

Unfortunately for Samsung, if you take down one video a dozen more pop up.
Samsung has now sent out a DMCA takedown notice to the mod creator for the YouTube video showing the device exploding in the game. Unfortunately for Samsung, they never thought about getting rid of the mod, so it’s not like there aren’t many other videos demonstrating it… whoops.
