Oculus announced it's splitting itself into two new business units. One unit will house the current PC VR group while the other one will be focused on mobile VR. Full details at the Oculus Blog.

Current CEO Brendan Iribe will step down and will lead the PC group as he desires to get back into engineering and product development. The mobile unit will be headed by Jon Thomason, who recently joined the Oculus team.
Changing the world on that scale has required us to also scale Oculus at warp speed. With our growth and product strategy, we’ve decided to establish new PC and mobile VR groups to be more focused, strengthen development and accelerate our roadmap.
