A wordcloud that reveals some details about the Vega architecture was discovered on the Ve.ga website.

Here's a quick overview:
  • 8x capacity per stack: meaning the card can offer 8x the capacity per HBM2 stack as the HBM-based Radeon R9 Fury series.

  • 2x bandwidth per pin: HBM2 offers twice as much bandwidth as HBM

  • High Bandwidth Cache: ?

  • 512TB Virtual Address Space: ?

  • 4x power efficiency: presumable vis-a-vis the Fiji generation?

  • 2x peak throughput per clock

  • Next Generation Compute (NCN) Engine

  • Next Generation Pixel Engine

  • Draw Stream Binning Rasterizer: ?

  • Rapid Packed Math: ?

  • Primitive Shaders
  • Interestingly, there's also a mention of "Radeon Vega", meaning the cards may use a numberless name like the Radeon R9 Fury series did.
