AMD FreeSync 2 is not what you think it is

VideoCardz is spoiling AMD's upcoming event by leaking some slides that reveal the upcoming FreeSync 2 feature. I'm not sure what AMD was thinking as the name of this feature is very confusing. It's not a successor to FreeSync, it's basically a feature that will automatically switch your display into HDR mode.

To use FreeSync 2, you will need to run a FreeSync 2 API enabled video game or video player and content that uses at least twice the perceivable brightness and color range of sRGB. Of course, you also need a FreeSync 2 qualified display.
