VideoCardz got its hands on a bunch of slides that detail the new iCX technology from EVGA, you can find all the details over here. New cards with iCX are expected to be introduced this Friday, it includes the FTW2 and SuperClocked2.

EVGA's iCX will feature nine thermal sensors around the board, which can be monitored via the EVGA software. The PCB also features three programmable RGB LEDs that change colors depending on the temperature of the GPU, memory and VRM.

The new cooling solution promises better performance than ACX 3.0, on average it should result in a few degrees cooler temperatures. Other interesting features include asynchronous cooling and a new integrated safety fuse that adds another layer of protection to prevent your card from blowing up in case something goes wrong.
