GM shows off Bolt EV prototype self-driving in real-world setting (video)

GM published an impressive video that provides a glimpse of the company's self-driving car effort. This was filmed in San Francisco using a Bolt EV prototype equipped with a sensor suite made by Cruise (which was bought by GM about a year ago). GM says it can bring this system to market by 2020. As you can see in the video below, their current system is able to handle an urban environment, including pedestrians and even construction work, quite well. If you look closely, you can spot a few instances where the system hesitated, but the driver seems to never have to touch the wheel.
