Prey to be optimized for AMD Vega

Posted on Thursday, February 16 2017 @ 14:18:24 CET by

German tech site PC Games Hardware published a long preview of the upcoming Prey shooter and even has a video with the first 30 minutes of the game. The article is in German so you may need some translation, it explains how the Prey reboot sets itself apart from classic FPS games and also reveals that Bethesda made a deal with AMD to optimize Prey for the Vega architecture.

As you may know, AMD's official line is that Vega will launch in the first half of 2017. There are some rumors that we may see a launch in May, so perhaps the launch will roughly lineup with the release of Prey. The current release date for the game is May 5, 2017.
