NVIDIA cuts GTX 1080 pricing to $499 and faster memory models are on the way

Last night NVIDIA introduced its long-awaited GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, this card will be available in stores on March 10 for $699. It's a lot of money but there's also some good news that concerns the rest of NVIDIA's high-end lineup:
  • First up, the GeForce GTX 1080 gets a $100 price cut. You'll soon be able to buy models starting from $499.

  • The base price of the GeForce GTX 1070 is $349.

  • GeForce GTX 1080 gets new model with 11GHz GDDR5X memory. These products will have a "11Gbps GDDR5X" sticker on the packaging.

  • GeForce GTX 1060 gets 9GHz GDDR5 memory.
