Many years ago Noctua was one of the first cooling companies to offer free upgrade kits to make existing coolers compatible with new processors. I'm glad to report that a lot of other companies have rolled out similar initiatives and today we have two more announcements of free AM4 upgrade kits for the AMD Ryzen platform.

First up, NZXT offers a free AM4 upgrade kit for users of its Kraken watercooling kits. You can request the kit over here, all you need to do is provide proof of purchase of the Kraken and a motherboard with Socket AM4. NZXT says shipments will start March 15.
"With the upcoming AMD Zen-based Ryzen CPUs, a new AM4 socket has been introduced. We at NZXT believe in providing high-quality components to our customers as well as exceptional customer service no matter where you live. We are currently producing a retention bracket to support the new AM4 socket as well as the AM2 and AM3 sockets and will be providing this for free to all qualified users. This retention bracket will be ready to ship starting March 15, 2017 to our customers worldwide."
Similarly, Fractal Design is offering free AM4 upgrade kits for its Kelvin watercoolers, you can request it via this page.
Fractal Design has announced the immediate availability of free AM4 upgrade kits to Kelvin series customers ensuring that owners wanting to upgrade to the latest AMD line of processors will be able to continue to use their multi award-winning All in One Water Cooling unit.

Owners of the Kelvin T12, S24 and S36 choosing to update to the new AM4 socket processor from AMD will be able to apply online via our Support Ticket System. Kelvin users requesting an upgrade kit will be required to upload a copy of their AMD Ryzen CPU or AM4 supported motherboard receipt via “attach a file”.
