Box shots of Intel's upcoming 8th generation Core i5 and Core i7 desktop processors confirm rumors about these chips needing a new motherboard. Owners of 100-series and 200-series motherboards have no upgrade path to Coffee lake as these processors require a 300-series motherboard.
Coffee Lake launches on October 10 and will be Intel's first mainstream platform to feature six-core processors. The box shots also reveal the Core i5 and Core i7 parts feature UHD Graphics 630.
