All the telemetry data that gets send back to Microsoft enables the company to keep a scorecard of how well it's doing. Now Microsoft is sharing some of its data in a new blog post that explains why Windows 10 Creators Update is the best version of Windows 10 ever.

The software giant says the average Windows 10 Creators Update device boots 13 percent faster, and logging in after boot is up to 18 percent faster. Windows Hello Facial recognition is now 30 percent faster and the Edge browser operates up to 53 percent faster.

Battery life also got a boost thanks to Creators Update. Microsoft's data reveals the introduction of the power slider on the Surface Pro 4 enhanced battery life by over 5 percent. There are also various other power efficiency enhancements:
Another way to get longer battery life is through operating system efficiencies. You can now stream movies online 2.5% longer and watch videos offline up to 5% longer with the Movies & TV app than in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Likewise, we know users spend a lot of time using their browser – surfing the web, watching movies and videos, or playing games online. I’m happy to report that the latest version of Microsoft Edge has brought a 17% improvement in battery life across every-day tasks like these! And compared to Windows 10 November Update the Mail app is now 40% more power efficient at syncing mail in the background – making sure you have more battery to spend on the things you love. These are just a few examples of efforts to reduce power consumption that impact your device’s battery life.
Reliability is also improving steadily. Microsoft claims Creators Update users hit 18 percent fewer system stability issues than earlier versions of Windows 10. And there was also a 39 percent total reduction in operating system and driver stability problems between Anniversary Update and Creators Update.

The final data point from Microsoft concerns customer support. The software giant proudly reveals customer support contacts (measured in hundreds per million devices) are way down. Microsoft says its biggest OEM partners have seen similar reductions in support calls.
