Sometimes I come across something that is hard to explain. This new CPU leak for instance is so bizarre that it's hard to understand what Intel is thinking. Either it's fake or this is one of the weirder CPUs in a long time.

Anyway, VideoCardz reposted photos of the Intel Core i3-7360X CPU that showed up in China. This is a dual-core part for Intel's X299 high-end desktop platform and it seems barely faster than the mainstream Core i3-7350K.

The chip is clocked 100MHz faster than the Core i3-7350K and has a 4.3GHz Boost. The 112W TDP indicates there may be some overclocking headroom but at stock speed the chip is reportedly just 1.25 percent faster than the 7350K. Pricing in China is expected to be around 1,699 yuan, which is $220.
