Romanian tech site Lab501 is the first European website to publish an early review of the Intel Core i7 8700K and Core i5 8600K. These reviews aren't supposed to be up until October 5th but it seems several sites already got their hands on samples. The review is in Romanian but the pictures are universal, you can view it
over here.
In terms of multi-threaded performance, the 8700K is pretty much on-par with AMD's Ryzen 7 1800X. Gaming performance is good too, the chip is a little bit faster than the 7700K. Load power consumption in Prime95 is 25W higher than the 7700K though, and the load temperature is 5°C higher.
The review also backs up earlier claims that the 8700K overclockers to 5.1GHz pretty easily;
