NVIDIA is one of the companies at the forefront of the self-driving car revolution. While the company has zero plans to make a car of its own, it makes some of the most advanced chips for autonomous vehicles and it has partnerships with many leading car makers and OEMs.

Speaking at the company's GPU Technology Conference in Taipei, NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang predicted it will take no more than four years to have fully self-driving cars on the road:
“It will take no more than 4 years to have fully autonomous cars on the road. How long it takes for the vast majority of cars on the road to become that, it really just depends,” Huang told media after a company event in Taipei.
Also at the event, Huang downplayed the importance of cryptocurrency mining demand for GPUs. He estimated NVIDIA makes just $100 million a quarter from sales to cryptocurrency miners, and that this is not a target market for the company.
