French tech site Canard PC Hardware has a pretty good track record with leaks about future processors from AMD. This time, the website has a couple of tidbits about AMD's second-generation EPYC processor, which is codenamed Starship.

The future EPYC generation will reportedly feature up to 64 cores, 256MB L3 cache, eight-channel DDR4-3200 memory support and 128 PCI Express 4.0 lanes. Previous information pointed to a maximum of 48 cores and 96 thread for this 7nm processor series.

Canard PC also indicates the next-gen EPYC may have a TDP of up to 225W (or even 240W).
