Ewin Racing Champion - four months later

There is no doubt that product reviews can give consumers a good idea about how products perform and what sort of price/performance ratio the reviewed items have. But one of the drawbacks of most reviews is that most authors barely spend time with the products they're writing about. Usually, reviews are written after a couple of days, or after a couple of weeks of usage, at most.

For a lot of products, that's not ideal as some deficiencies don't show up until many weeks or even months after purchase. This is especially true with objects that are used intensively, which is why I'm penning down a follow up for the Ewin Racing Champion gaming chair. This product arrived at my doorstep four months ago and I've been using it very intensively. Typically at least eight or nine hours a day, so this review is the result of over 1,000 hours of using this chair.

After four months of intense usage, my impression of the Champion gaming chair remains largely the same. This is a high-quality product with a durable feel and I thoroughly enjoy sitting in this gaming chair. It sits every bit as comfortable as in the beginning, perhaps even a bit more comfortable as the lumbar cushion became a bit softer. Spending long hours in the Ewin Racing Champion is not a problem, it does not give me any back problems.

The 1.2mm thick PU leather cladding still feels like new. With a bit of water, it's very easy to clean. I can't spot any wear and tear, so far so good! Similarly, all functions of the chair like the gas lift the tilting, the adjustable back angle and the 4D arm rests still work like new.

Using the Ewin Racing Champion gaming chair is a big pleasure. It's relaxing to sit in this chair and you can largely adjust the back angle and the armrest positions to suit your preferences. Coming from an ordinary "el cheapo" type office chair, this product is a big step up and I would definitely recommend it to all our readers.

As I'm writing this, Ewin Racing is doing a Cyber Monday promotion that brings the price down to just 209EUR ($229) with free shipping if you use coupon code "CM50" at checkout. This incredible promotion ends on December 4 so you better be quick. After the Cyber Monday promo is finished, you can still get 15% off by using our "DVH" coupon code. Thanks to this promotion, this is a no-brainer if you're in the market for a gaming chair. With exception of the brand name that's printed on the chair, a lot of the gaming chairs that are sold by various companies are highly similar. There are only a couple of OEMs that make these products so you can easily spend $100 more for almost exactly the same product.

Verdict
My conclusion remains the same as in the initial review, this EwinRacing gaming chair is a high-quality product. I'm confident it will last long enough to be worth its price tag. My biggest gripe is still that its head pillow is too small. When I'm sitting in the chair, I often wish it would have a bigger head pillow as the current model is way too small to be functional. It provides a little bit of support for the back of your neck but you can't sink into it to relax.

Without this flaw, I would give the Champion a score of 9.5/10, but in its current form I give it a 9/10.
