Self-driving technology is once again one of the major talking points at CES 2018. CNBC reports Intel revealed its first self-driving car test as the show and said about 2 million cars from BMW, Nissan and Volkswagen will use the technology from its Mobileye unit throughout 2018.

The test camera from Intel features 12 cameras, radar scanners, and chips from both Mobileye and Intel:
The company introduced the first autonomous car in its 100-vehicle test fleet during CEO Brian Krzanich's keynote address at the industry expo CES in Las Vegas.

The car features 12 cameras, radars, laser scanners and computing technologies from Mobileye and Intel. There are three high-resolution cameras at the front of the vehicle that allow for a 180-degree field of view and let the car's image processor see at a distance of up to 300 meters.
Intel bought Mobileye last year for close to $15 billion to keep up with NVIDIA.
