Dutch tech site Hardware.info did a little digging about motherboard compatibility with AMD's upcoming Ryzen 2000 and Raven Ridge series. In theory, current AM4 motherboard should be able to support these chips, especially because AMD promised backwards compatibility through 2020. In reality, a lot depends on the motherboard makers. If they don't provide support, you may be out of luck.

The Raven Ridge APUs are expected on February 12 and the Ryzen 2000 series should follow in April. At the moment, there are still a lot of motherboards out there that do not have the latest AGESA updates from AMD. These are required for Raven Ridge compatibility.

ASUS is the best-in-class, this company has provided new BIOS versions for most of its AM4 motherboards. Gigabyte has updated the BIOS of four of its motherboards, while MSI hasn't shown any action on this front yet.

ASRock updated two of its four AM4 motherboards on January 16, but didn't list the AGESA version number so it's unknown if these boards have Raven Ridge support. That's all we know at the moment.
