Just for the fun of it, Excel expert C Bel created a 3D engine in Microsoft's spreadsheet. Interestingly, the 3D engine relies entirely on formulas, he didn't use any macros. It's pretty cool but the framerate is really low so it will be hard to enjoy this. Full details at his Gamasutra blog.
The game provide theses functionalities :
- infinite procedural generated maze map
- real time ray tracer rendering
- occlusion calculation
- basic illumination rendering
- illumination and compute shader
- natural displacement engine
