Word is going around that ASRock is very close to expanding its product lineup with video cards. Market watchers told DigiTimes to expect ASRock video cards in April. The motherboard maker will reportedly focus primarily on AMD-based video cards.
With the increasing shipment proportion of high-end motherboards and rising sales for its IPC and server products, the company's EPS for 2018 stands a chance of returning to NT$9 (US$0.31) if cryptocurrency mining can maintain its momentum, the market watchers noted.
DigiTimes notes it will be interesting to see how this affects the video card market, as AMD has shown no sign of capacity expansion. Thus the entry of ASRock into this undersupplied market implies other vendors may see their supply cut.
