Chinese consumer electronics giant Xiaomi brings its first gaming laptop to the market. The new Mi Gaming system is described as "eSports" grade, it features a 15.6" screen with a Full HD resolution.
Xiaomi offers four models, the most advanced edition features the Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics, 16GB DDR4, a 256GB SSD, and a 1TB HDD. This model costs 8,999 yuan, or about $1,432. A more basic version with the Core i5-7400HQ, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, 8GB DDR4 and a 128GB SSD plus 1TB HDD is priced at 5,999 yuan ($955).
The systems feature a four-zone RGB LED keyboard, 30 N-key rollover, five macro keys, and a high-power cooling system with a Turbo function that can be activated via a keypress. The Mi Gaming is 20.9mm thick and weighs 2.7kg.
