AMD Wraith Ripper cooler was created in cooperation with Cooler Master

AMD teamed up with Cooler Master to create the Wraith Ripper, a cooling solution for the new second-generation Ryzen Threadripper processors. New chips like the 32-core models will feature a TDP of 250W, a big increase versus the 180W TDP of the first generation.

This obviously requires a beefy cooler, as a typical cheap coolers will result in massive thermal throttling. The result is that Wraith Ripper cooler for the Socket TR4 looks like a very capable air cooler, it has a large nickel-plated copper base, seven nickel-plated copper heatpipes, and a dense aluminium fin array.

The firms also thought about aesthetics, the cooler has a nice black design and features addressable RGB lighting that can be configured via an app. Wraith Ripper will not be bundled with Threadripper, it will be sold via Cooler Master's distribution network. Pricing and availability is unknown.
Cooler Master says that the Wraith Ripper will not only ensure sufficient cooling for AMD’s 32-core CPUs, but will also guarantee compatibility with memory modules featuring tall heat spreaders.
