It's impossible to say, VideoCardz saw the invite and reports it only talks about a hands-on presentation of the newest PC gaming titles. However, NVIDIA is flying international journalists to Europe for this event, so it seems it will have some significance...
This year’s Gamescom starts on August 21st. It’s a few-day event focusing on new gaming titles. We have been told NVIDIA is *allegedly* sending invitations to the press for this very event. We can’t give you any date yet, because as far as we know, it’s not a single date. It could happen before Gamescom, at Gamescom or shortly after.
On a related note, VideoCardz learned AMD will also be hosting something for the press, but that event will take place one month earlier. No further details about that one, but perhaps it's the second-gen Threadripper launch?
