VideoCardz has an update about the secretive AMD press event that's scheduled a couple of weeks from now. Word on the street is it takes place in the fifth week of July, and that it will tie in to the Ryzen Threadripper 2000 series launch.

Interestingly, AMD will take members of the press on a F1 inspired tour in Italy. The itinerary reportedly includes a visit to the Maranello race track and the Modena Ferrari factory.
Is it about the raw horsepower or is it about the luxury of owning a very expensive hardware? Of course, in case you didn’t know, the Scuderia Ferrari F1 team is currently sponsored by AMD.
It's been a while since AMD hosted events like these but it seems the marketing department is once again receiving enough money to make it happen. Definitely a big step up versus the "Poor Volta" comedy from the pre-Vega launch days.
