The new Founders Edition cards in the GeForce RTX lineup not only feature a beefier, dual-fan cooling solution but are also factory overclocked. In a new blog post, NVIDIA explains the features of the Founders Edition in great detail.

NVIDIA claims the new cards emit just 1/5th the noise when overclocked when compared to an overclocked Pascal Founders Edition, a reduction of 8 decibels. These Founders Edition cards are also factory overclocked, you get a 90MHz out-of-the-box overclock versus the stock clockspeeds. This is the first time NVIDIA does this, and it definitely adds some value versus the stock-clocked AIB versions that are $100/$200 cheaper.
To deliver record-breaking performance, the factory-overclocked GeForce RTX 2080 uses 225 Watts of power out of the box, and tops out around 280 Watts for enthusiasts chasing ultimate overclocking performance.

Furthermore, the entire power delivery system has been rebuilt for GeForce RTX Founders Edition graphics cards, starting with the all-new 13-phase iMON DrMOS power supply. Of particular note here is our new ability to switch off arbitrarily phases, for drastically-reduced power consumption at low workloads, which greatly increases power efficiency.
