VideoCardz got its hands on a photo and details of the Gigabyte Z390 AORUS ELITE motherboard. The site says the Z390 motherboards are receiving the final touches, and should head to the market soon.

On a related note, ASRock, MSI, and Gigabyte are all three shaking up their branding strategy with Coffee Lake Refreh. Gigabyte has AORUS Elite and Xtreme boards, ASRock finally ditches Fatal1ty in favor of Phantom Gaming, and MSI has new MAG and MEG series.

Anyway, the Gigabyte Z390 AORUS ELITE is basically the replacement of the Gaming 3 series, the Elite line is the lowest-tier in the firm's full-sized ATX lineup.
This motherboard has the most standard features you would expect from a gaming motherboard. There’s M.2 heatsink, reinforced DIMM and PCIe slots, RGB lights and RGB header, 12+1 VRM phase design and preinstalled I/O shield. If you need more interfaces, more lighting, better-looking covers or Wi-Fi/10G support, there will be other motherboards to choose from.
