VideoCardz published photos of the ASUS Maximus XI EXTREME and ASUS Maximus XI Gene motherboards. One of the special features of these ASUS Z390 motherboards is the inclusion of DIMM.2, this is a new non-standard memory format that offers double as much capacity as regular DDR4 modules.

The site received photos of the ASUS ZADAK and GKILL’s Trident Z RGB DC, these are supported by the ASUS Maximus XI series. These sticks could offer 32GB per module, enabling the installation of 64GB DDR4 on a compact, dual-slot motherboard.
