RIM to launch BlackBerry 8700 within weeks?

BB Hub heard RIM may be developing a BlackBerry 8700. This device is codenamed Electron and will be broadband-capable, with EVDO for Verizon, BB for SprintNextel and EDGE for Cingular.

Features of the 8700:

built-in GPS
built-in instant messaging client
64MB RAM
native attachment viewing (rather than needing third-party solutions)

The BlackBerry 8700 is not Wi-Fi or VoIP compatible and won't feature a digital camera either.
