Kyocera announced the Kyocera Clik KX20 CDMA wireless handset at the 3G CDMA Americas Congress tradeshow. Clik KX20, launching later this fall, will represent Kyocera's first foray into the international entry-level cameraphone market, offering external photo caller ID in a small, attractive color flip phone.

With Kyocera's focus on ease-of-use and stylish affordability in mind, Clik KX20 features the popular clamshell design with a front-facing VGA camera lens so users can quickly and easily capture spontaneous moments without having to worry about moving the phone around or adjusting fingers away from the lens. An external vertical display allows quick viewing of incoming calls and features photo caller ID, allowing users to see which friends and family are calling before answering. Dedicated side buttons for the camera and volume control offer instant access to key features. A powerful speakerphone, voice-activated dialing, vivid 65,000 color internal display and ergonomic design with raised keypad for quick texting round out the key features that prepaid or postpaid on-the-go mobile users will want and use.

"Clik KX20 is one of our smallest and most stylish phones yet, an attractive complement to our growing lineup of easy-to-use entry-level phones for the International market," said Lee Ittner, vice president of global sales and marketing at Kyocera Wireless Corp. "By offering a cameraphone with external photo caller ID at an affordable price point, we're able to bring more features to the entry tier and improve the user experience for first-time cameraphone users."

Operating at the CDMA2000 800 MHz band only, Clik KX20 features built-in polyphonic ring tones, screen savers, and caller alerts; BREW 2.1 for downloading the latest games, ringers, contacts and more; predictive text input for rapid text messaging; and vibrate alert. Productivity tools include an extensive contact directory, scheduler, calculator, alarm clock, world clock, stopwatch, and voice memos. Clik KX20 also supports multiple languages to meet a variety of International markets, including Portuguese, Spanish, Hindi and English.

The handset measures 3.19 in x 1.93 in x 0.87 in (8.1 cm x 4.29 cm x 2.21 cm), weighs 2.86 ounces (81 grams), and has a talk time of 170 minutes and standby time of up to 110 hours.

The phone will be available this Fall.
